邓文迪 (Dèng Wĕndí) is known across China as the ultimate gold digger. While studying medicine in Guăngzhōu, she met an older couple from California. With their help (and funding), she got a student visa for the US. Soon after, at 22, she married the husband, who divorced his wife.
After two years she divorced him and did an MBA at Yale. Good for her. She then went to work in Hong Kong, got an internship with the News Corporation, and soon become a translator for Rupert Murdoch himself. Married him too. She made headlines for valiantly defending him when protesters outside the British Parliament threw cake at him. They got divorced in 2013, reportedly because Dèng had an affair with Tony Blair.
At the moment, the rumors on Chinese online fora go that she’s dating Vladimir Putin. That would be unofficial, though: She’s really dating a violinist 17 years younger than herself.
Yep, celebrity gossip is a thing everywhere. Wikimedia Commons
